Cedar Bridge - Twin Oaks Golf Course in Springfield, MO
We had the privilege of undertaking a challenging and rewarding project - revitalizing the large, 70 ft cedar bridge at Twin Oaks Golf Course in Springfield, MO.
When we first arrived, the bridge was covered in dirt, grime, footprints, and tire marks. It wasn’t properly sealed and it was losing its natural beauty. To restore its glory, we dedicated several days to meticulously sanding the entire bridge. The amount of sanding required was substantial and, by the end of it, we filled a five-gallon bucket with sanding pads. It was tedious but this process ensured a smooth and pristine surface for the seal.
For optimal protection and a professional finish, we chose an oil-based seal from Olympic. Utilizing an HVLP sprayer (high volume, low pressure), we sprayed the seal to the wood. This method allowed us to cover the entire bridge efficiently, including the sides and underneath, in a fraction of the time it would have taken with hand painting or rolling.
The result was not only a beautifully restored cedar bridge but also a finish that exuded professionalism and durability. The Twin Oaks cedar bridge restoration stands as a testament to our dedication to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
